Lumote Privacy Policy
Lumote: TV Remote, by iOS Corner. Last updated: October 2026.
What Lumote does on your network
To find and control your TVs, Lumote uses your iPhone's local network. It looks for TVs on the Wi-Fi network you are connected to and sends remote-control commands (keys, volume, text you type, app launches) directly to the TV you choose. These messages stay inside your home network. Nothing is sent to us or to any third party.
iOS asks for your permission before Lumote can use the local network. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network.
What is stored on your iPhone
- The list of TVs you added, their names and network addresses.
- The pairing keys your TVs issue so you don't have to pair again. These are kept in the iOS Keychain on this device only and are never synced or uploaded.
- Your settings, such as haptics and layout.
Forgetting a TV in Lumote deletes its pairing keys. Deleting the app removes everything.
Widgets, Control Center and Siri
Widgets, Control Center controls, Siri and Shortcuts run on your iPhone and use the same local connection to your TV. Lumote does not send your requests anywhere else.
Purchases
Lumote Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes all payments; we never see your payment details. See Apple's privacy policy and the Terms of Use (EULA).
Children
Lumote does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
